FAMILY LEGACY OF PIES

Special tribute to my parents for cultivating in me the spirit of entrepreneurship and a commitment to helping others through community service.
 

Omar Aziz is the Chief Training Officer (CTO) of the Intellectual Capital Development Corporation (ICDC). ICDC is a consulting firm born out of his family legacy of pies, specializes in entrepreneurship education, workforce and small business development. ICDC provides consulting services and technical support to solo entrepreneurs, small businesses, corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans and Graduate Studies in Executive Business Management from Louisiana State University and served as Entrepreneur-Residence at Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business.

In 1989, he founded the American Student Entrepreneurs Association (ASEA) and the Participating In Entrepreneurship (PIE™) Program. PIE™ is an innovative entrepreneurship training program designed to foster ownership/systems thinking and new business startups.

Over the past 30 years, the 12 Recipes for Small Business Success has been shared with many entrepreneurs, and the PIE™ Program has been licensed for use in middle schools, high schools, colleges, economic development agencies and nonprofit organizations such as the Idea Village, Urban League Women Business Resource Center, New Orleans Jobs Initiative, New Jersey Business Enterprise Project, Young Christian Entrepreneurs, Governor Conference on Entrepreneurship, Department of Labor, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (see our partial client list).

In January 2020, the creator of the PIE™ Program became a Member of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) and earned the credential of Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP) Certified Practitioner.
